Bobby Weinapple

My Story

Born and raised in New York City, Bobby Weinapple is a San Francisco-based professional actor, teacher, theater director, and musician. He holds a BA in Music from The Evergreen State College, and over the past 25 years has performed at most every major theater in the Bay Area. After running several performing arts programs (including the Drama Department at The SF Conservatory of Music), Bobby founded his own music studio in 2001, with an emphasis on helping performers of all kinds to rediscover their passion for making music.

Bobby sees his job as being able to see every student not only as they are, but as they might be, and then to hold that vision up. If you are....

  • a professional musician seeking musical inspiration

  • a student who loved music before you started studying and now feel overwhelmed

  • seeking the love of making music after years of not finding it, and now coming back to playing/performing

  • a music lover who sang or played an instrument when you were younger, stopped, and have said for years, “I wish I never stopped taking those lessons.”

....he can help you grow as a performer no matter where your current abilities lie – from the very basics all the way to a professional level, in a safe and supportive classroom. His unique approach to combining acting techniques with musical performance is the focus of his forthcoming book, Acting For Singers. When not teaching, playing his guitar, writing songs, and digging in his garden, Bobby prefers to be out on the trail with his wife Jane and Max, his Australian Shepherd puppy. Check out the Weinapple Music website to find out more about Bobby's work as an actor, teacher, theater director, and musician.
